Thank you for your interest in these “Navy Log” episodes.  All profits made through these sales are used in the continued acquisition of any and all of our submarine history on film and in accordance with the USSVI Creed:

“To perpetuate the memory of our shipmates who gave their lives in the pursuit of their duties while serving their country. That their dedication, deeds and supreme sacrifice be a constant source of motivation toward greater accomplishments. Pledge loyalty and patriotism to the United States Government.”

The vast majority of us “aging sailors” attribute much of our decision to join the Navy on the many influences that the media had on us as kids, whether through magazine ads, posters, billboards, radio or television, the climate was ripe for our attention...

Three series on television were the most powerful of all these influences to us post WWII guys, “The Silent Service”, “Victory at Sea” and “Navy Log”, of these only Victory at Sea is commercially available.  You all probably know of my continued efforts to get the Silent Service episodes released to USSVI and someday I hope that we can make this happen, in the meantime we collect what episodes we can for our own enjoyment within the submarine community.

Which leaves us with the “Navy Log” series, now long past it’s copyright date and in the public domain.  Problem?  Any copies of the 105 episodes produced are difficult at best to find (akin to the Silent Service problems).  I now have collected eight of these stories and am offering them all (about four hours) on two VHS tapes to those of you interested in obtaining a copy.  While these episodes are about the Navy in general, (read “targets”) your purchase will aid my continued efforts at saving our submarine film history.

The eight episodes included in these two Navy Log VHS tapes are:

Volume #1

Web Feet

Helium Umbrella,

The Pollywog of Yosu

Operation Typewriter,

Volume #2

Death of Dillinger-San,

Incident at Formosa,

Fire at Sea,

1600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W.

All episodes are in black and white (the old TV. days), with good sound and clarity.  Each tape is $20.00 “including shipping” via USPS media mail.  Turn around time from receipt of order to mailing will be about two weeks maximum.  Make payment to "Submarine Memorabilia" and send to address below.

Thanks again for your participation,
